Understanding Biblical
Spiritual Gifts
Are they all still relevant? Is an ability a Spiritual Gift? Can your Gifting change?
A Spiritual Gift is something all believers possess, but often we are confused about what they are and how we should be using our gifts. Many of us aren't even sure what are Spiritual Gift is. During this study we will exam the Spiritual Gifts listed in Scripture, define them, and learn how each gift works to "serve one another" as I Peter 4:10 says. We will also discuss common misconceptions around Spiritual Gifts. Are they all still relevant? Is an ability a Spiritual Gift? Can your Gifting change? Can I get out of things because "it isn't my gift"?
Even though this is a study in difficult Biblical subjects, the format will be discussion oriented. You will be encouraged to share your real life experiences and stories. We want to take this journey together as a group to learn more, not just about our individual gifts, but the gifts of our entire church body. If you want to know how to be more effective in serve the Church and being effective in ministry this is a class that you need to attend.
Class Leaders: Mark and Alexis Isbell will be leading the class. Mark has been an Ordained Pastor for 20 years and is now serving as a VP of Waterfront Rescue Mission. Alexis has been a L&D nurse for over 20 years, and has been serving the church alongside Mark.
