ZAC'S STORY:
Coming Full Circle from Fiji

Zac praises God for the Operation Christmas Child shoebox gift he received when he was a boy in Fiji.
Now, he works in children’s ministry and helps his church in the U.S. pack shoeboxes for boys and girls in need around the world.

MOISES'S STORY:
From Orphan to Son

Moises, who grew up in an orphanage in El Salvador, shares how receiving an Operation Christmas Child shoebox gift introduced him to God’s love and changed his life.
JESSICA'S STORY:
From Doubt to Faith

Jessica gave her life to Christ after receiving an Operation Christmas Child shoebox gift and attending The Greatest Journey in her Egyptian village. When COVID shut down the churches, Jessica started her own discipleship group and led her friends to the Lord.
Step 1
Find a Shoebox
Start with an average-size cardboard shoebox you have at home or a plastic container with a lid. If you want to wrap it, cover the box and lid separately. Please no boot boxes.
-OR-

Pick up a preprinted shoebox at Immanuel Baptist Church in the foyer starting in October.
Step 2
Get your Label
Along with your box, you can pick up a label in the foyer. Use the label to indicate on your shoebox whether it was packed for a boy or girl and which age category: 2– 4,
5 – 9, or 10 –14.

Adhere the label to the bottom section of the lid over the "place label here."

You can also print a barcode label from the Samaritan's Purse website to follow the progress to its final destination. Make sure to not tape over any part of the barcode.
Step 3
Fill with Gifts & Supplies
Choose Items in all 3 Categories:

1. School Supplies
2. Hygiene Items - no toothpaste or liquids
3. Special Gift - Select a medium to large "wow" item such as a soccer ball with a pump or stuffed animal, then fill with other fun toys, hygiene items, and school supplies.
Don’t forget to include a personal note and photo —sometimes these are the child's favorite things to receive!

For a list of approved items and helpful suggestions, check out 'What Goes in My Shoebox?' at Samaritan's Purse.
Step 4
Pray Over your Box
Most importantly, "pray without ceasing" (1 Thess. 5:17) for the child who will receive your shoebox gift.

Please also pray for:
-
Their family to also be receptive to the Good News of Jesus Christ.
-
The pastor of the church delivering your shoebox gift.
-
The community to be transformed by the Gospel.
Step 5
Donate $10 per Shoebox
A donation of $10 per box is critical to cover shipping and other project costs.
For easiest processing, you can give online at Samaritan's Purse through their Label Options page, or by mailing a check in the postage-paid envelope available in the print brochure.
If you use an online option on the Labels page, you can Follow Your Box and discover the destination of your gift.
Step 6
Return with your Shoebox
Bring your filled shoebox back to Immanuel Baptist Church on NOVEMBER 17th and take them with you to your seat for morning worship.

We will have a special time for all families with shoeboxes to bring them down to the steps of the alter.

Please do not bring them sooner. We want everyone to participate in this special service on November 17th.
