Pastor Joel has faithfully served in ministry for over 30 years, bringing a wealth of experience, wisdom, and a heart for building genuine relationships. He and his wife, Rita, joined Immanuel in July 2011, and together they have four children: Caleb (along with his wife Gabby and their daughter Amelia), Eli, Anna Catherine, and Ben.

A graduate of Union University, Pastor Joel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education with a Minor in Religion in 1993. He later pursued his calling to ministry by obtaining a Masters degree from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in 1996. Throughout his years of service, he has ministered in various capacities, always prioritizing evangelism, community, and a Christ-centered approach to leadership.
Pastor Joel is passionate about cultivating meaningful connections, believing that ministry is ultimately about seeking Jesus first and fostering authentic community among believers. In his free time, he enjoys sports, video games, collecting sports memorabilia, and spending quality time with family and friends. His love for people and commitment to the Gospel continue to shape his ministry, which he hopes will make a lasting impact on those he serves.
